Variety Auto Sales is looking for an Apprentice Mechanic to help with daily vehicle service, inspection, and preparation at our busy used car lot in Vancouver.

This position is a good fit for someone who is learning the automotive trade and wants hands-on experience working with different makes and models of used vehicles.

About the Position

As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will assist with basic repairs, maintenance, inspections, and vehicle preparation. You will work with a variety of cars, SUVs, trucks, and vans in a fast-paced dealership environment.

This role is suitable for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable working with tools and vehicles every day.

Main Duties

• Assist with basic mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, battery checks, and tire checks
• Help inspect vehicles before sale or delivery
• Assist with brake, suspension, and general service work
• Help prepare vehicles for the lot
• Move vehicles safely when needed
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Follow instructions from senior staff

Apprentice mechanic experience, automotive school training, or previous hands-on vehicle experience is preferred.

A valid BC driver’s licence is strongly preferred.
